Q: Why do people join bowling leagues?

Q: Why join Grower's Rec Men's Bowling League?

A: Grower's Rec is not only the oldest established bowling league in Indianapolis for men BUT it is also considered a fellowship league; some teams are just having fun and some are more competitive but they all come together to enjoy their night out for a series of bowling!

Q: When does Grower's Rec bowl?

A: Our league is typically on Thursday nights starting at 8:30 PM EST at Royal Pin Expo during the Fall/Winter League Season. 

Q: What are the dates and how many weeks?

A: Our league typically bowls between the end of August thru April for 30-33 weeks. For specifics on date and times or any changes visit the Announcements page.

Q: How much does it cost to bowl in your league?

A: The cost per night of league has recently been set to $25 per night for the season to account for increasing lineage costs going forward. On the first night of bowling (or prior to the first night) you are also required to be sanctioned with the USBC at a one time cost of $25 for that year. There is also a one time sponsor fee for the season of $40 due before week 6 begins; this fee along with a portion of the weekly fees helps pay for cash prizes at the end of league.

Q: How do holidays work?

A: We almost always take a week off for Thanksgiving and then also around Christmas and New Years Eve the bowling alley has a holiday break. If any other breaks come up the league would notify you as soon as they are made aware at league, possibly via phone in the case of weather, and also via announcements on the site!
